McLeodganj / Bhagsunag → Triund

Trek to Base Camp · ~7 km · 4–5 hours

Morning Report: Assemble at Bhagsunag Waterfall, meet your trek leader and fellow trekkers. Quick briefing and gear check.

Trek Begins: The trail winds through dense oak and rhododendron forests via the famous Bhagsunag Waterfall path. Incredible scenery at every turn.

Scenic Views: As you gain altitude, sweeping views of Dharamshala town, the Kangra Valley, and the Dhauladhar range unfold before you.

Evening Arrival: Reach Triund's iconic meadow by late afternoon. Set up camp and unwind with a warm evening tea as the sun dips behind the peaks.

Night at Camp: Enjoy a hearty dinner under a sky blanketed with stars. Sleep to the sound of the Himalayas.

Triund → Bhagsunag

Sunrise · Descent · Trip Ends

Sunrise Magic: Wake up before dawn for a life-changing sunrise over the Dhauladhar peaks. Golden light painting the snow — a moment you'll never forget.

Morning Tea & Breakfast: Freshly brewed chai served at camp as you soak in the Himalayan morning. Hearty breakfast before the descent.

Explore & Photograph: Last chance to wander the meadow, visit viewpoints, and capture the perfect shots for your memories.

Descent: Trek back down through the forest trails to Bhagsunag. The descent takes approximately 2–3 hours.

Trip Ends: Arrive at Bhagsunag with a heart full of memories, a camera full of photos, and a soul refreshed by the mountains.

Trek Guidelines

Rules for a Safe & Responsible Trek

No Pets Allowed

For the safety of wildlife and other trekkers, pets are strictly not permitted on the Triund trail. Please make alternative arrangements before joining the trek.

No Alcohol Policy

Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited on the trek and at the campsite. This ensures the safety of all participants and helps maintain the sanctity of the natural environment.

Leave No Trace

Carry back everything you carry in. Use the provided waste bags. Our mountains are our home — help us keep them pristine for generations to come.

Hydrate & Stay Safe

Drink at least 3–4 litres of water per day. Inform the guide immediately if you feel symptoms of altitude sickness: headache, nausea, or dizziness.

Valid ID Mandatory

All trekkers must carry a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, etc.) for forest permit registration and safety documentation.

Respect the Schedule

Please be punctual at the reporting point. The group moves together for safety. Late arrivals may miss the scheduled group trek departure.
